Data processing overview for "Feeds to Finances: Understanding Student App Practices"

1) Exported raw screen-time events and device metadata from iOS/Android settings.
2) Removed device identifiers and replaced with randomized participant IDs (P01, P02...).
3) Trimmed events outside the consented window and removed fields unrelated to the study scope.
4) Merged logbook responses and normalized timestamps to local time.
5) Anonymized free-text notes by redacting names and organizations; tagged redactions inline.
6) Generated summary tables (logbook-entries.csv, screen-time-summary.csv) used in the manuscript figures.
