The participant says sport dominates their routine: they are a professional water polo player with several trainings per week (in Mechelen), a Saturday night game, and regular gym sessions. They report using Instagram mainly during commuting (public transport or car rides) and occasionally at night in bed when bored or watching an unengaging series. They describe feeling guilty after using Instagram because it feels “useless.” They use their banking app for everyday payments (e.g., meals with friends), rent, and frequent balance checks “out of curiosity,” and felt stressed in the last two days after noticing they had spent a lot. After seeing their recorded usage (about 35 minutes/day Instagram; 25 minutes/day banking), they say they underestimated and want to reduce both.
